Unicard are delighted to announce that we will be at the Transport Ticketing Global 2023 event to showcase exciting new products and where two projects involving Unicard are award finalists.
Transport Ticketing Global, at Olympia London on 7-8 March, is the world’s largest transport forum event for vendors involved in the future of smart ticketing and mobility.
Our Unicard team will be ready to welcome visitors to Stand G20 (opposite Theatre 2), where we will be launching and demonstrating products that include:
- Multi-operator, multi-token ticketing for commercial schemes including ITSO, cEMV, and Barcode
- Account Based Ticketing for fare capping and multi-operator ticketing
- Generating commission revenue by selling accredited UK rail tickets
- Managed services for customer care, financial settlement and reconciliation, and fraud detection and hotlisting
- A Home-to-School scheme combining public and private transport
- An affordable off-the-shelf public transport app to improve delivery of multi-modal services
- Concessionary travel scheme systems for youths, veterans, refugees, and jobseekers
- Transport management for carbon reduction and net-zero initiatives
Visitors to our stand can also join giveaways and competitions that we will be hosting on both days.
The 2023 Transport Ticketing Awards will take place as part of the Transport Ticketing Global event, and two ambitious projects involving Unicard have been announced as finalists – a great recognition of the strength of our product lineup in meeting transport industry needs.
Breeze (Solent Transport, Unicard, Trafi) has been selected as a finalist for the Best MaaS Initiative award, while Transport Scotland’s National Bus Concession Scheme for Young Persons, for which Unicard provided a HOPS, has been chosen as a finalist for Best Smart Ticketing Programme (<200k Daily Journeys).
Unicard, together with Mobility as a Service (MaaS) experts Trafi, are developing the Breeze “travel super app” for Solent Transport.
This MaaS solution enables travel around the Solent region using a single app, allowing its users to rent e-scooters, buy and scan tickets for trains, buses, and ferries, rent cars, and more.
Breeze is a key part of Solent Transport’s major Future Transport Zone (FTZ) programme for the Solent region, which includes Portsmouth, Southampton, South Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. Work on the FTZ is backed by £28 million of funding from the Department for Transport.
For Transport Scotland, Unicard have handled the development, migration, and ongoing management of an ITSO HOPS, Part 11, and mobile app solution that underpins the Scottish Government’s national travel concession schemes.
Our HOPS supports Transport Scotland’s national bus travel concessionary scheme for young people – in line with the Scottish Government’s objectives to deliver a more sustainable, inclusive, and accessible public transport system.
Unicard CEO Sean Dickinson said: “Unicard are delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist for these two awards in what are very competitive categories for smart ticketing and mobility projects.
“Our work for Solent Transport (with Trafi) and Transport Scotland is very important to us, and it’s great to see our hard work recognised.”
Attendance at Transport Ticketing Global is free for local authorities, and we'd love to chat about the future of ticketing with you:
